To all the "lefties"

Ok I am so not going to blog everyday but this I have to get off my chest! The other day my dearest friend in the whole world tells me "did you know you are beading left handed?" I'm thinking "WHAT! Are you kidding me?". I had no idea there was such a thing. Well it figures. It's probably just another way to discriminate against those of us who are left handed. You remember always getting stuck on the side or back of the class room in the "left handed desk", or there's the well meaning teacher always turning your paper to the wrong angle, or my personal favorite the "left handed scissors" that never worked anyway. Now you tell me that the clasp of my necklaces needs to be on the right? Wow! So I will tell you I am trying to be an equal opportunity clasper and bead the "right" way. Try as I may and as adaptable as I've become over the years...Well lets just say this. I will not offend or discriminate against you right handed people out there. You may still purchase any item you see that you like. When you go to clasp it and you find your left hand fingers doing more work than they are used to just smile to yourself and remember someday we lefties will rule the world! :)
So until next time God bless you whether your left or right handed.

Poema Creations - the beginning

Hello all. I am up and running...well at least I'm getting there. I began Poema Creations this past summer. It came about while trying to decide where or what was next. With two children now in highschool and my volunteering being cut back it was time for the next chapter.
About two years ago I was in need of a new hobby, and so began the making of polymer clay beads. Recently I decided that I missed it and picked it up again. I enjoy the creativity and the options that the clay provides.
The name Poema has a special meaning to me. Ephesians 2:10 says For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. That word workmanship in the greek is poema where we get our word for poem. I love that we are His work of art and it is my desire that Poema Creations and all I do honor Him.
This is quite a journey and at times the amount of work to be done is overwhelming, but I love it. Each item I make is unique and original. Check things out, let me know what you think and any ideas pass them this way. Until next time God bless.
